Yesterday, 26th November at Ardgye Farm in field beside A96-
6 Buzzards just standing in a field of winter barley- assume it was some kind of early Christmas get-together!
Anyone else seen any kind of Buzzard gathering recently?

I would guess that there must have been some sort of food available---worms, voles ,moles whatever, possibly forced into the open by the wet weather.

What ever is there it seems to be quite an attraction for buzzards. Apparently there were 9 in the same field yesterday afternoon.

Likewise, 7 in a field here yesterday. I suggest that in times of prolonged hard weather it might be difficult to get small mammals and they are going for whatever the readily available food source is- which in times of high rainfall is eathworms?
