And again today, by ME!
I went to the Fen Hide this afternoon and after about 10 mins a load of ducks suddenly erupted from the reeds opposite the hide and up popped a Bittern, it didn't fly far and dropped back into the reeds again on the far side of the Loch.
After about 30 mins it appeared out of the reeds directly opposite the Fen Hide. It stayed there, not doing much, for a few minutes and then flew across the Loch into the reeds about 50 yards to the left of the hide.
It was good that this one is keeping up the now annual appearance of Bitterns at Strathbeg.
